"This is the only guide you could need for starting a profitable soap business or just to enjoy making soap for gifts or personal use." - Jill R., 5 Star Review for DIY Natural Hot & Cold Process Soap Crafting: Ultimate Guide to Making & Selling Colorful Natural Soaps
Are you concerned about the chemicals found in most mass-produced, store-bought soap? Do you want your family to stay clean, healthy, and safe? With as often as we use soap every day, limiting the exposure to harmful ingredients is important. When you make your own natural cleaners at home, you can control what's in your soap and what touches your family's skin.
The easiest way to create homemade natural soap is to use the melt and pour soap method. Melt and pour soap for soap making is probably the simplest way to make natural soap for your family to use. In my book, DIY Natural Melt and Pour Soap Crafting, I will show you the melt and pour process of soap making, easy to follow melt and pour soap making recipes, and everything you need to know about DIY soap
I started out just making soap for my family to use, then I started creating gifts for others. That blossomed into an absolute home-based soap empire. I am constantly researching, revising, and revamping anything and everything related to soap so I can share that with you through my books. So far, I have authored four books, all about different ways to make and use soap and natural cleansers made from scratch. Check out my author profile page to see my other books.
Before we get into the actual melt and pour soap making; I share my findings about these four potentially harmful ingredients found in too many soaps and body washes: sulfate, triclosan, parabens, and artificial fragrances. I am sure you will be shocked to read what I found. I know that I was amazed at how these chemicals affect our bodies.
I wanted to arrange the chapters in a logical order, so you are not as confused as I was when I first started. When I began making soap, there were only limited resources available to me in terms of anyone who had real knowledge in the soap making process. My work has been full of much trial and error; I wish I had a book like this when I was starting out.
In the beginning, I will teach you how common chemicals found in commercial soap can harm you and your family. I dug deep into my research and found out the truth. Then, I explain all three soap making processes and why the melt and pour method is the best and easiest to use.
Next, I show you what supplies and equipment you will need and their approximate cost. In the next chapter, I guide you through a step by step soap making process (Chapter 4). After that, we discuss everything under the sun about molds you can use and all of their different variations and types (Chapter 5).
Chapter 6 is all about adding colors and how to use the color wheel. Next up is essential oils that give your soap its scent and great natural healing power (Chapter 7). After that, it is all about my favorite recipes (Chapter 8). Next, I share 15 soap coloring tricks that may truly surprise you, yes they are really that good (Chapter 9).
Finally, Chapter 10 is all about how to Start, Run, and Grow your Soap Business right from home.
After reading the book, you will become a master on how to make homemade soap using the melt pour soap making method. You will also learn about all the soap making supplies you will need, my favorite soap making recipes, and most importantly, you will enjoy the healing benefits of all-natural organic soap made at home.
If you have any questions, I have added my personal email address at the end of the book, so you can contact me.
