{ Steve Roberts }

Steve Roberts became a professional writer at age 14, working for his hometown paper. His first major article appeared in The Nation when he was 18. After graduating from Harvard in 1964, he became the research assistant for Scotty Reston, then the Washington bureau chief for The New York Times, and that led to a 25-year-career at the Times. He spent seven years as a senior writer at U.S. News and World Report and now teaches political science and journalism at George Washington University. He is a well-known commentator on radio and television and co-authored with his wife, Cokie, The New York Times best-seller From This Day Forward. His most recent book is My Fathers' Houses: Memoir of a Family.
