Doug Dutton

The founder and owner of Dutton's Brentwood Books and Dutton's Beverly Hills Books, two of Southern California's most distinguished independent bookstores. He is a long-time member and supporter of the American Booksellers Association (twice nominated Bookseller of the Year, and winner of the Pannell Award), the Southern California Booksellers Association, PEN, and the Associates of the University of California Press. Dutton also teaches music theory, harmony, and music history at Los Angeles City College, and The Colburn School for the Performing Arts. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Penny, and three potential third-generation booksellers (a son and two daughters.)
